About me

My name is Tracey Swan. I’m a 57-year-old mother of four, a proud grandmother of one (with another grandchild on the way), and the heart behind Contented Souls. I support women and families through the life-changing journey of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood with warmth, wisdom, and deep compassion.

My path into holistic care began in 2003 when I trained as a Remedial Massage Therapist in Sydney, Australia, with further specialisation in pregnancy, labour, and postpartum massage. It was during this time that I discovered my calling: to walk alongside women as they bring life into the world.

Although I once hoped to become a midwife, a busy family life and a lack of academic confidence kept me from that path. But I later found my true place as a doula—offering non-medical, heart-led care to mothers and their families during one of the most powerful times in life.

Over the years, I’ve lived in and experienced life in many different countries, working within communities and learning deeply from the people and cultures around me. These experiences have shaped me into a compassionate, open-minded, and worldly-wise woman with a strong belief in the importance of connection, care, and presence.

I’ve also known grief—having lost my beloved son in 2019. That loss lives in me, and it has deepened my empathy, my ability to hold space for others, and my respect for the full spectrum of human emotion that often accompanies birth, motherhood, and transformation.

As your doula and massage therapist, I bring not only my professional training and experience but also a grounded, nurturing presence. I will support you and your family with calm strength, open-hearted care, and respect for your unique needs, values, and choices.
